Default Flashed CM11 (or any AOSP rom) and my sd card contents won't show up!

I am unlocked, rooted, and s-off. I've been flashing back and forth between Sense Roms and everything has been working fine.
Last night, I decided to play around with AOSP Roms. I flashed 2, and either one won't show my SD Card contents in the Rom (or when I connect the phone via cable to my laptop.)

But here's the tricky part, when I flash another Sense Rom, everything is there!
So obviously something is going on. Any ideas what?

My guess is something to do with the way it's formatted (ExFat vs FAT32) but, honestly, I have no idea. Any help??
U aware, brah?

That has more to deal with app data rather then sdcard

The same thing happens with the usb mounting, the files are still in /media/sdcard/ and your usb is mounted to /media/sdcard/0.
