Couldn't post this on the development thread because I just started an account here.

Just loaded Cyanogenmod 11 and it appears that several other people weren't able to open their default Message app or use hangouts to send SMS's. Whenever I attempted to send an SMS through Hangouts it force closed immediately without sending the message.

The only suggested solution in the Development thread was to empty Hangouts' cache but that didn't help at all.

Thanks for any help!

This is the right place to post this.
Hangouts and other MSG apps don't work right now on CM11:

CM11 is being rebuilt with a new kernel and presumably new radio drivers.
It's not yet ready, and we don't know when, but when it is, it will be posted and we will all know.

Thanks, new to this whole rooting thing. Got extremely tired of the stock ROM continually crapping out on me.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
