I suddenly want to have a try to flash a rom using my old MT4GS
So I come to xda and find a ot of roms
That is really nice
After downloaded several roms
I started to try one

My MT4GS is s-off but not root

after I choose "recovery"
a red "!" displayed on the screen

I checked the forums and believed I do not have CWM or TWRP
So I downloaded both
but I don`t know how to give TWRP to my MT4GS

I spent nearly 24 hours and finally find out:
I need to root if I want to use "push recovery.img blah blah /local"
I need the recovery if I want to root

I don`t know how to fix this
How can I root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root while root needs recovery while recovery needs root

Please help me....................
Thanks

1. Is the bootloader locked or unlocked? (it should be written at the top, when you boot into it)
2. Have you already installed HTC drivers, as well as ADB and FASTBOOT on your PC?
