I also happened to try this same thing a week or so ago & can confirm it no longer detects root in the newer MyAccount app[current update as of 06Feb2014]. Also, when entering the device status feature of the app, your have the option to disallow device reporting to T-Mobile [allegedly] by simply unchecking the box. I plan to upgrade to something else with Jump! soon tho & will update this post if I encounter any issues or learn any useful/relevant info in the process. Hope this was helpful to somebody!
