Sounds like you may need to replace the screen. This is difficult but not impossible. It depends whether you're willing to risk opening the phone for a DIY fix. Alternatively you could wait and pray the screen comes back at some point.

If you replace your screen remember to buy one with the frame included other wise you will have to remove the old screen then get adhesive to stick the new one in and that is a lot of work.
