First sorry for the length.

Okay, I know I am missing something I have been google'ing this for the past week and I am giving up and moving on unless someone can point me in the right direction.

Okay: So I have setup my on github.com account, forked my own copy of cm-11.0 from the Andromadus guys (thank you). I have done the 'repo init...' and 'repo sync'. The 'brunch vision' failed on 4 different .java files so after fixing them I can do 'brunch vision' and have the ROM boot (been running it for 1 week now).

So I want to upload my changes back to github.com on my branch, and I have not managed to get this done. I have managed to use 'git -add' and 'git -commit' on a branch and just using 'cm-11.0'. I also created yet another branch off my github that matches the branch I used on my vm linux box.

'repo status' shows the 2 projects ready to upload (and the branch now).

brad@brad-VirtualBox:~/android/Andromadus/cm-11.0-brad$ repo status
project frameworks/webview/ branch mychanges
project packages/apps/Settings/ branch mychanges

Before I give the error, I know I have the ssh key working because I have created one and done the ssh -T git@github.com with it showing success.

I am concerned because my login on the linux box is 'brad', the github.com account is bradley-e-smith and my email is bradley_e_smith(at)yahoo(dot)com, so they are all different. I am wondering if this is the issue.

So when I do 'repo upload' I get the error

brad@brad-VirtualBox:~/android/Andromadus/cm-11.0-brad$ repo upload

fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

[FAILED] frameworks/webview/ mychanges (Upload failed)
[FAILED] packages/apps/Settings/ mychanges (Upload failed)

Of course my goal would be to make my version available to others, also I am interested in seeing if I can get a newer kernel to compile (like 3.4).

thanks in advance

I've never had that issue and off hand can't think of what to do, a good place to ask would be right here though!
