While you are here, how do we go about setting the name to our backup, I see it simply backs up and creates it's own name. I know I can create a custom backup, but that dos not allow to edit the name I see, or do we simply rename to what we want afterwards and make sue there are no spaces when renaming ??
yes, cwm has no keyboard, for now...

Default Goo Download Missing?

Hi Phil

Thanks for the great recovery. I can't seem to find the download for your recovery on the Goo IM site. Any ideas where it may be? I had it but accidently deleted it when I formatted my internal sd.

Thank you

Charles

I'm sorry if this has been asked I have searched this thread from beginning to end and search the Internet. I recently replace my TWRP with this recovery to install a 4.4.2 rom which I was not happy and but love this recovery it has great features. I was recently trying to go back to TWRP to restore my own rom and data but keep running into a quick reboot when I wipe data I have even tried formatting data. I am not trying to leave this recovery. I just cannot restore my TWRP backups on Philz recovery i have tried renaming my sd card but TWRP backup files are .md5 and Philz are .tar. Please help

Thank you Edward

Quick question is the most recent version working. For the longest time 6.07.9 was the only Philz version that would restore back ups. How about the 6.19.03? Do you know if it works?

Thanks

Charles

Man thanks for the link every time I went to mine it was empty?. I have no idea?

If the newest version works properly you will still have an issue installing anything but kk roms because the recovery requires a different binary and script than the older roms use. If I were you I would just stick with 6.07.9

Easiest way is you download it it zip format and flash it in recovery. If you upgrade i suggest 6.07.9 you can read the last few pages of this thread and it will explain why that version and not newer ones.
