Default [Q] updates policy

Hi!,

I'm interesting in buy a LG G2 but i don't know if I will have updates about 3 years... Somebody knows if LG offers updates for 3 years? or if any custom rom (for example paranoid android) offers updates for 3 years?

Buy a expensive phone and that after 3 years this phone has vulnerabilities (security bugs) not is funny :/.

If you want 3 years of official updates there's just 1 phone maker left and that is apple.
I own a G2 but I doubt LG will actually give it updates it after the next flagship phone is launched, given their update history.

We'll be lucky to get the update to Kit Kat. Beyond that; doubtful.

Cusstom ROM's will be updated until dev's don't own the phone any more. Go look at the Evo section, there are still custom ROM's being made, and that phone is old.

As far as official updates, Apple ends at the 3 year mark. iOS7 runs on the iPhone 4, so that's 3 years, but nothing older. I'm sure 8 will not work on anything older then 5.
