[Q] NFC not working on kitkat based nexus 7

im trying to receive file from my brothers Galaxy S4 with NFC but nexus 7 wont detect or connect so that file transmission takes place
even i tried android beam same nothing happened even when touching devices backwards


is that a bug!

Wild guess, but did you maybe disable it?
Settings -> wireless & networks -> more -> NFC, Android Beam
And I think bluetooth also needs to be on.

NFC on the Nexus 7 is positioned just where the logo is and a bit above it on the back side.

Nfc works fine here on stock 4.4.2,however what you describe isn't so much Nfc as it is file transfers that Samsung hawks about but nobody else does (beaming files around over wifi using Nfc to initiate).

Try using Superbeam, connects via NFC and transfers via WiFi, really fast.
