Default Custom Recovery for Stock 4.3 (rooted)

Hey I was just wondering if it's possible to install a custom recovery while retaining the stock 4.3 firmware (rooted)?

I tried a couple of times but kept putting it into bootloops, so any direction is VERY welcome. Thanks much.

Ok so install @Nut XZDualRecovery from your computer --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2261606, you will find specific tabletZ dual recovery in his repository ( last one is TabZ-lockeddualrecovery2.7.86-BETA.installer.zip).
