Since the day I bought my note 3 I noticed that the YouTube app has a slight stutter during video playback. The audio is fine and doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or data. Online videos play just fine and so do the videos I take with the phone. I have since rooted the phone and I've tried every rom available and they all do it. Anyone else having this problem?

Not here. Do you have it set to hq mode? Maybe try unchecking that.

my 2 year old rooted DROID RAZR could play anything regardless of quality. I would only think that this rocket ship of a phone should be able to do the same thing only better.

Mine works fine on hq unless I've got bad signal. I agree with you though.

When I first got my phone about a week ago, I let it do the google play updates after doing the initial phone setup. One of the updates was youtube. I was having problems with stutters on playback every few seconds on every video I watched. I went into settings-application manager and uninstalled the updates back to the original factory installed version. The stutters have now went away and all the videos have played smoothly.
