I've read many threads about this, but is not really clear if it is possible to make phone calls with Nexus 7 2013 LTE, by flashing something or with a mod rom.
(No voip, viber, skype, bluetooth etc., only native gsm dialing).

Can someone give a concise reply?

Simple Answer is NO.

It is still impossible for a Nexus 7 to make calls. It got to a point where the Tab can Dial, and actually make a another phone ring, up to receiving a call. But the final task of making a sound on the TAB as soon as the call is accepted is still the issue.

Quite there right?

But I guess most Devs gave up on the idea.

Verizon is finally selling the LTE on 2 yr contract so they can make/receive the call with the right carrier/software. At least this is my "guess"
