Default [Q] cannot change splashscreen of cm based roms

Hi guys,

I need a dev to help me out here. As you might know cm based roms have a black screen as splash screen (not the bootanimation) so I tryed changing it to a CyanogenMod wallpaper with correct resolution and I compiled the kernel with championswimmers kernel kitchen using the xperia T/X/V method and I flashed it to my device --> everything went fine, device booted up but still the splashscreen is just plain black :/ is there a module missing in the kernel or something?

I'm currently running cm10.1 but it also doesn't work on later versions
