Default 4.3 MJ7 Optus Rom - failed SMS.

Hi guys.

Had many an android and really can't wait till my phone gets the 4.4.2 update, so I can root Haha. Although I was going to wait so that the bootloader gets updated nicely in the process. But, still in my DOA period and having this wierd SMS issue where it will fail from time to time and I have to go into air plane mode or restart to fix it. It sometimes happens with data.

See, there's actually a few bugs this stock rom has like crackling in the video recording etc. So, I'm unsure if it's the rom, or the hardware. I will only know if I install a different rom.

I thought, maybe someone can assist in this, I could get the XSA rom from samobile and flash that. Am I right to say that's the "open" Australian rom? Same as you'd get if you bought a note 3 from a Samsung shop? If it is, I can try that and see if issues are still there before my DOA is up. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance guys.
