I looked around and a JTAG service I found is only $31 after shipping. You get it back in like 2days after the guy receives it. I'm probably going to do this after I replace the screen on my G2 😑 So many issues....

If you can still boot into an LG or Google logo, then you can still fix it. I hard-bricked my friends phone TWICE (e970) and tried to get my XP to recognize it. After 20 million attempts, the computer recognized it, and I immediately flashed a .tot file. Then it froze at 67%... then 85%... and I left it in there for an extra 20 min. After that, I couldn't stand it anymore, so I unplugged it and rebooted. Said the battery was low, so let it charge for five min, and lo and behold, it booted! So even if it says "USB malfunctioned" and "QH-USBDLOAD" or whatever, keep holding down power and both vol buttons, and if it does do something, you still have a (albeit small) chance to get it working.
