I have a Note N7000 International Edition. OS is 4.1.2 Jellybean. Build Number - DDLSC. I rooted it using the guide-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191 . (DDLSC- ODD- http://www.mediafire.com/file/s3qyap...0.8-signed.zip ). Since I rooted it (the Note) my Nexus 4 (Kitkat 4.4) is not able to connect to the hotspot. The Nexus is stock unrooted ROM. The WiFi is visible but the Nexus can't authenticate or obtain the IP Address. Internet is fine.

This wasn't the problem before.

Rooting is with CWM. Is it due to the Super User permission. I haven't flashed any ROM, its still the Samsung 4.1.2 . Any ideas or suggestions.

Have you confirmed root is working? I had issues with superuser, had to switch to supersu. Download AdAway and confirm that it is functioning.
