Default [Q] Making edits to default.xml persist past reboot?

I am using the ONE-HYBRID rom for my AT&T HTC One Mini and I want to make some changes to /system/customization/ACC/default.xml, but it keeps getting reverted on reboot. I use "adb remount" to mount the /system partition as rw and then "adb shell" and edit the file in vi.

How do you make changes to default.xml persist accross reboots?

Figured it out, the Koush version of superuser wasn't working at all. I had to switch to supersu.
