Tonight my tablet has been sleeping for 7:10 hours with Wi-Fi ON.

My settings:

Network notification = Off
Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep = Always
Scaning always avalable = Off
Avoid poor conections = Off
Wi-Fi optimization = On

Before: 100% battery
After 100% batery
Therefore: battery consumption <1%

I'm awaiting for more test from users before think it is solved. :fingers-crossed:

I have update , on my P5110, with rom aokp_p5110_kitkat_unofficial_2014-03-01.
After reebot, had disappeared gapps.

so I redid the installation from the beginning.
- Full wipe
- Install rom
- Install gapps

so it is normal?

Ya Gapps need to be re-flashed each time u flash an update... :)

Oh u reducing the number of scans being done for wireless networks... Let's see if they accept this change coz i guess it's only our device facing battery problems... So hope for the best... :)

I installed this ROM 2 days ago. So far, everything is looking pretty good. I have been running CM 11 for quite some time, and was looking for something a bit more feature rich. Having used AOKP in the past, I know there will be plenty of new features to come with this ROM.
Thanks for the hard work.

Ok guys Just for ur information
AOKP ROMS now come with a pre-installed AOKP White KitKat theme. (Check Themes section in Settings)
What is so special about it?
AOKP Team has completed the unfinished work started by Google (AOSP) of turning KitKat into a more cleaner and richer WHITE UI..
So, all give it a try and let me know if you like it...

Battery Life

Good day! I was wondering whether the battery issue has been resolved already or do we need to apply the patch indicated on previous pages? Thanks. I really would like to try this ROM. :)

I have not tried the patch yet, as I have only been running this ROM for a few days. But it does seem that battery drains faster than it did when I was on CM11. Its not all that bad, but definally drains faster.

Maybe someone else can comment on the patch.

I tried the patch by tuxafgmur.
For me battery life is good when using the tablet, but I have huge battery drain when I leave the WiFi on overnight (and the modem is OFF!). I noticed by the way that it doesn't happen every night, it's quite casual. I'm trying to understand what's causing it. :fingers-crossed:

There is a very strange random (or sometimes nearly continuous) drain in some tablets (but only some) whatever ROM is during deepsleep (which is the strangest part). Tux is investigating on that, and seems to be finding something... Let him some time.

Don't try to understand it. it is not logical issue.

I think I can solve in a little days.

    Guys,
    The work of official AOKP has been delayed because new patches the to KERNEL have delayed and furhter postponed because of heavy battery drain on P31XX & P51XX devices... So, along with @Android-Andi I plan to back port to Cm10.2 Kernel and apply important and necessary patches. Thus, getting a bettery and memory optimized rom. :)
