There was a program featured few days ago on portal. I think it was called Buildubuntu. (Basically it is a virtual machine, but unlike VBox it needs x64 host machine)

You can do it if you use HyperV virtual machine (Windows 8 - 8.1 User)

not possible on windows..... best way is dualbooting both windows & ubuntu
