Are you sure that stereo's "bluetooth service" doesn't interfere with your new device? I have disabled this service completely. If I need it I will reenable it.

I managed to change boot animation, if anybody wants to know the reason it didn't work: I had to store ZIP file with NO compression.

I would like to share a little contribution. Perhaps could be useful to someone..
First of all, all credits goes to angelbbs and his great work on http://solaris-club.net/forum/showthread.php?t=19729 forum and stanjkof for his app radio mod.

I just used angelbbs lastest work with 51t firmware to fit my preferences and needs.

Changes:
changed default launcher (Holo Launcher HD)
changed default app radio with excelent mod from stanjkof
changed fileexplorer and commander with miexplorer (just simple, friendly, and powerful app)
Removed some unnecesary apps.
Modified: gps.conf , build.prop, p901.cfg, sun4i-keyboard.kl and other files that i can't remember

This image can be flashed with usb method or more easy with an sdcard.
You can use PhoenixCard to format sd with the firmware.
Then just insert sd in to gps sd slot and wait.

I believe this is the last day I will be using this device.

Today, I barely cranked the engine, my new battery was almost flat.

This thing has all sorts of issues from day one, leaving components active and not switching power completely off.

I will talk to my mechanic if he can bypass the system somehow, to switch off completely with key off. If not, it goes out and I'm back to stock.
At least I will be able to go to work in the morning

Itīs a shame, If you have a newer MCU, maybe you can try to flash MCU and DVD firmwares from russian solaris forum.

Or what if you try to connect both wires red and yellow from radio to only red wire from your car, so radio only gets power when your car is running?

Yes, that is the solution. I will take it to the specialist to do that.
But I will probably lose radio station memory. Never mind, I don't use it much anyway.
But right now, it has to go out of the car, because I don't have time to take it to specialist this week.

I really don't like flashing those chinese electronics, guys on solaris have all sorts of weird problems after flashing that never end
