Hi, Mardon,

Can you just help me to go back to stock ROM of the Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830) by using Odin Multidownloader v.4.38. I am using the latest CWM 6.0.4.6. Can I flash the stock ROM straight away using the ODIN or I have to format /system before doing that. I understand CM10/CM11 uses different system format other than the Gingerbread 2.3.6 one. If I have to format the /system, show me how to do that. Format using CWM 6.0.4.6 or downgrade to something like CWM 5.xx before doing that ?

Thank you.

If you are using odin it should take care of resizing partition. That's why the pit file exist.
You should be able to find many thread about this. Just be sure it's in the forum for ace because each device need different odin version and different pit files

Tapatalked with SlimKat NexusFive

Model: GT-i9000M (SGS1/galaxysmtd) : Now to my Girlfriend
[ROM] [4.3] Slim Bean

Model: GT-S5830D (Ace/Cooper) : Going to retire
[ROM] [CM10.1.6] - modded by Mardon

Don’t click here, there no reason for that.

Thanks.
The system partition of my Galaxy Ace GT-s5830 has been formated using CWM 6.0.4.6 and the device installed with CM11. I could not find the "PIT" box in the Odin Multidownloader 4.38, what I saw was only the one for "OPS" file. Do you think I have to format the partition before actual flashing the stock ROM? And how can I do that.
