Btw, how can I open a *.bin with GIMP under Ubuntu? I always get an error, even with UFRaw installed .. :/

The bin file contains the boot logo in a custom motorola format. It also probably contains some other data related to the boot screen. You can't just open it as a basic image to edit it.

well the tool is free to download in this thread, you have the BMP which i have uploaded
you could generate the logo.bin yourself, anyway just edit the bmp with MS Paint first and invert the colors so its yellow,
because when you generate the logo.bin the blue becomes yellow so yellow will become blue and everything should be fine

good luck

The Tool runs just find for me under Windows 8.1 x64

Anyway since I won't test these logo.bins myself, I made 3 versions so you can test them out and see which one is the right one so the logo is blue

you have 1.bin, 2.bin and 3.bin, just rename them logo.bin and flash it, test it if it's the right color if not test another

good luck
