Hi guys,

Just updated to I9505XXUFNB8 Samsung Galaxy S4 4.4.2 and I was under the impression that you would be able to use a camera shortcut/widget on a secure lockscreen with kitkat?

I set up a pattern lock and I can't seem to enable the camera shortcut.

Has anyone been able to enable this?

I was under the impression that we would be able to add and use a camera shortcut with a secure lockscreen with 4.4.2 KitKat?

When I select a secure lockscreen, the ability to add a camera shortcut is greyed out per the screenshots below...

Hmmm... I thought this was supposed to be a feature of KitKat that you *could* have a camera shortcut on a security lockscreen or am I mistaken?

Ahhh, so this feature is available on Nexus phones and Google Edition Galaxy S4's but Samsung removed this functionality with Touchwiz? Grrrr.... this is bloody ridiculous!! I'd prefer this basic function rather than all the other rubbish software that samsung loads on there!

I got my sister a Moto G as few weeks back, switched on got Kit Kat straight away as on OTA.
Also has the camera shortcut on a pattern lockscreen.

Go figure ... bloody Samsung.
