I'm hoping I don't need device replacement like petal to the medal. I'm bootloader unlocked but never achieved root on the 6806 GPe device.

Default GPE Factory Images Available?

Are there GPE Factory Images available for download? Do they work on the regular Z Ultra? I have a Z Ultra and put dual recovery mod on it, now I can't get into Flashmode. Even when I plug in my cable and hold the Volume Down button, the LED just flashes green and goes out. I never get Flashmode. I'm trying to get back to stock, but it looks like Flashtool is out for me. I need to use fastboot mode to get back to my stock firmware. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a brick.... One thing I don't understand, do you have a gpe or a regular ultra?

That's what Flashmode does. Only Fastboot will have a persistant blue LED. Flashmode just blinks for half a second, but it's in flashmode. Connect it to your computer and open flashtool. Flashtool will tell you that it's in flashmode. Nothing to worry about.

If it is indeed "bricked" and you can't enter flashmode, flash a boot.img with recovery using ADB or QuickIMG and flash a ROM.

Mine is the International version D6802. I don't have GPE. I was just desparate and wanted to know if the GPE image would work.

As you have been told already.... Stay away from cross flashing. Despite their similar names, there are differences between them.
