Hi!

Since doomlord (I think it was him, maybe I'm wrong) realesed a way to interact with the diodes, I was wondering if it was possible to make animations, like in my attachement gif...

You can try Illumination Bar Notification. It doesn't require root. However, it is not as versatile as U Disco and has very limited illumination patterns.

Only for notifing you when you got a message or whatsapp. Like any ledcontroller.

There is no app for non rooted devices that can interfere with the LED's.
