HTC Dinc: S-off: rooted

I've been reading a lot lately about developing, modding and ofcourse ROMing my HTC Dinc. Btw I've been rocking it since it's release !

My question is if I flash this ROM "Stock Rooted OTA 4.08.605.19 710RD Rom" http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2141642, will I have to re install my apps? My instict is that I would have to but I would like to be sure before doing it. Can I just copy over my Data folder from my backup and copy it into the phone after the new ROM, will that re-establish my apps?. Or would I need to copy and paste each .apk individually? Sorry for the noob questions, I'm not a programmer but have been picking it up as hobby.

Use Titanium to backup your apps, flash new ROM, restore apps with Titanium... make sure you restore apps only and not system data. The new ROM= new system = old system data will not be compatible.

You could try pasting your /data folder, but chances are the ROMs are way different and you'll just get a bunch of force closes.

btw...if you're going to start ROM flashing, try something fun like Cyanogenmod or evervolv. That stock rooted ROM is literally just the same as the Dinc already has, except for with root. I'm running CM11 kitkat 4.4.2 and loving it. For a noob, I would suggest trying CM7 or 10.1 first. Or some other Jellybean ROM. The Dinc CM11 is still in development and you should practice with something more stable first.

Good luck and have fun.
