[Q] Tap to wake without root?

I wanna unlock my phone or wake up screen with double tap.I been waiting for this expecting that i will get option in kitkat but i updated phone last night on kitkat and no wake up option....so dissapointed tbh...Anyways i tried wake up nexus i tried tasker and touch pro and those bug my phone big time.Is there any solution or i will have to buy stupid Z2 because this really annoys me ><

There is currently no option for this on the Z1. Some devs have looked into adding it into a custom kernel but no luck so far. I'm guessing (or hoping rather) we'll get it eventually, but who knows how long it will take. Seems like a pretty minor feature to go out and buy a new phone over.... To each his own though

So sad....such a simple option couldn't be added....Majority of users wanted that option so bad.....

Maybe someone could try xposed? Some features that were kernel only could become possible with the framework. Someone could try to build an app for double tap to wake
