It's definitely possible, Nexus 7 (2012) runs official 4.4 and i don't believe the differences in chipsets are that big...

I think it is all nonsense, the phone came out 15 months ago, they can and should support a phone for 24 months.

Good idea to do the survey

Maybe put the survey link on other forums here on xda or on the home page

signed, the 4.2.2 update is broken.. wifi deactivating itself and camera bug amongst other things. ie not fit for purpose ie should be updated, i shouldn't have to root to fix these things myself...
