Bluetooth Tether Slow

Default Bluetooth Tether Slow

Anyone else found this? its not all the time but for example mine tonight is GRINDING SLOW tried rebooting, tried re tethering with no luck

it's always slow when you compare it to wifi, but yeah, sometimes it works faster sometimes is just takes ages to load.. not sure what's causing it, i don't really use internet that much on the gear.

Only thing I use it for is to install apps from the play store but can take 20 Min for a 3mb file it's nuts

Battery drain is a major issue for me when thethered. I too mainly use the feature to download apps from the play store. Would be nice if I could just leave it connected all the time but my battery would only last like maybe 4 hours or so I would imagine.

sorry to revive but has anyone had really slow speeds? i mean usually times out and took an hour for a 1 mb playstore app. any help would be great i dont get it

Yes. It seems that Samsung completely broke bluetooth tethering in their latest phone side app update (at least on the Note III), even when using the _null ROM. I found a workaround (basically, disconnect any phones that have the samsung gear software and pair with a phone without the gear software).
