Curious about buying this phone. Not so sure I want to do without an external SD card. So what exactly is the data partition size?

It has 24GB free if its not the international 16gb version.

Thats how much app-install space you have for the 32gb versioin of this phone and the 16gb model has 10.4gb available for apps and user data.

Seriously? That's awesome. So how does it break up the partitions for the fat32 side? Or is it just one large partition?

Just one large partition.

Very adequate for app + data but lacking if you like to store a lot of music/video. Cloud storage.

The "SD card" is emulated. It's stored on the data partition and expands as necessary.

If you only need extra space for infrequent circumstances like road trips or flights, you can always get a Meenova.
