Hello, Id like this to be a one stop shop for the d710 GB28 modem on Virgin Mobile. First coming here from month agos, I found out this cell has many different names like Galaxy S2/Epic 4G Touch/Titanium something ???(thats what V.M said was the name of it?!?!?!?!) I found myself on the At&t Epic 4G Touch bc I didnt understand the differences. My cell was on 4.1.2 stock. I hope this will help others. I take no credit for any of the files. Just spent a ton of time here gathering my results.

ROOT
If you want to be rooted, go here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2130276

click on the FRAMAROOT 1.9.1 apk and install
click the Aragorn icon.
Your device will reboot and SuperSu will be installed
Click on SuperSu and it will update accordingly

CUSTOM RECOVERY
Youll need a custom recovery to backup your current rom:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?...XM&usp=sharing

Download the file. Then download Odin (for your PC) and Click the PDA icon. Select the .tar file you just downloaded. Enable usb debugging on your cell under development options. Plug your cell into your PC and it should download the driver. If everything syncs up, shut off your cell and unplug the cord from the PC to your cell. Then press the POWER BUTTON+VOLUME DOWN. This will take you to the DOWNLOAD MODE. PRESS the VOLUME UP key to continue. YOU'll be in download mode now. Connect your cell to your PC. You'll see the ID:COM icon on ODIN turned yellow. That means it sees your cell. Click on PDA, find the file you downloaded and click START. You cell will reboot when finished. Hold the POWER+VOLUME UP to get in your custom recovery There you can backup your current rom.

4.1.2 is great.....BUT its not that cool!!!!!
4.4.2 rom CyanogenMod 11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2540250

There are different roms you can put on. I used KitKat 4.4.2 but flash player cant work without the dolphin browser. Video playback glitches and *EDIT NEWEST BUILD (| Mar. 23, 2014 |) FIXED PIC MESSAGES AND TEXTS VIA STOCK MESSENGER APK.

4.3 is functional CyanogenMod 10.2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2560277

Its a solid rom but I had to modify the APN sittings to get pic messages to work. To change the APN settings on a non-stock roms, go to the VOICE DIALER and say "OPEN APNS". Click the Sprint icon and modify the values to these if needed:

Under MMSC type:
http://mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?

Under MMS PROXY type:
205.239.233.136

Under MMS PORT type:
81

Hit the settings icon on your cell and click save.

REBOOT YOUR CELL.

AT&T carried the Epic 4G Touch? You should change 4.2.1 to 4.1.2.
