I have multiple roms backed up and I'm just trying to update my stock to kit Kat I download the update, install now and it boots into twrp recovery.. is this normal, how do I go about updating also will I lose root? I'm not interested in rerooting after updating but I would like to see what the new kit Kat is like... Thanks for replays beforehand you guys are the best

You need to have stock recovery in order to update.

Flash back to stock recovery and use supersu paid to keep its root... Worked fine just make sure you are unlocked and s_off when u update so if something happens you can ruu back to 4.3.. glad I was!!! If you have the tether hack it will not work.. just to let you know
