This is awesome. Thanks for the knowledge! I work in IT, and learning a programming language is going to help my career. I found your post and, although I'm learning C#, I still feel I learned something from this. I'm thinking of learning C or C++ in depth to be a programmer for a living. Keep up the great work.

Very nice intro.

I've been doing C professionally for 25 years, but thought I'd pop in and take a look.

I "dove into" Android and learned Java 3 years ago. I was very happy to see the basics/basic syntax of Java is pretty much the same as C.

I pretty much bypassed C++, and I understand many think that Java is superior anyway. Some think C++ an abomination for an object oriented language, where object concepts were badly bolted to C.
