Default Need help with OTG and USB Y-cable. Don't want to blow my Kindle up.

So basically I would like to use a gamepad with my Kindle.
Would it be safe to attach a USB Y cable to the kindle, power supply and gamepad?

Here's the setup.
Would this work fine? Or will it blow up my Kindle? I'd rather ask before having an expensive paperweight.

EDIT: This is because I read that OTG only outputs 2.5v, so this should work.

even if you hooked it up it wouldnt work, otg is disabled in the kernel. You would have to compile a kernel with it enabled in order to use it.
My Wallpaper Fix for KF2, KFHD 7", and KFHD 8.9" is HERE
Please Read the instructions and use the debugger if you run into errors.
My own modified adb drivers for just about all kindles (includes old twrp and cm versions) HERE
Tablet UI Patch for latest CM10.1 build HERE!

Please send complaints to /dev/null

Thanks stunts.. but I read that some people were able to use low powered devices and others actual made a Y cable (or powered hub) and flash drives, devices, etc worked.
Maybe this is with amazon stock rom, I don't know.
I'm using CM 11.
