so here is my story... my google nexus 10 got wet, and i dissasembled the whole thing, so it could dry up. when i was assembling it, i accidentally broke the Power & Volume flex cable, which is indeed needed to power up the device... I´ve been looking for the part on ebay, amazon.I found it in powermedicbook.com and rounded.com but it is out of stock. I´ve been looking also in my town for the part, but i can´t find it... I´m losing hopes, well is there a way to actually power up my device from my laptop ? maybe by plug it in and use some software.. jeeez I want to use my Nexus, i miss it any help will be greatly aprreciated.

Going out on a limb and saying no.

It'd have to be at the kernel level where you have a magnetic trigger to input the screen to wake but not if your device is powered off and unable to be powered on to install the kernel.

Hope you find a power button and try to stay away from areas where your tablet can be dropped in water?
Good luck.
