So where are these & future updates coming from? Google, Motorola or Lenovo?

This might have been answered before, but I cannot find the answer. Sorry if it's a repeated question.

I bought a Canadian Moto G from Koodo (sub brand of Telus). If I flash retail DE SW over it, will I be able to receive OTA updates, or do I need to change something (like country code)? Or will it not work at all?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

After the latest update I've been experiencing a lot of camera errors on two different handsets so it's gotta be a software bug. Anyone else? Rebooting solves the problem.

Hi I have the Moto G 8GB UK with official 4.3 + root. I want to upgrade to 4.4.2 official (EU) while keeping all the data and root, since the official on-device way doesn't work for rooted phones is it possible to do it manually now?
