Did Samsung's "Internet" app always cover notification bar?

Just noticed on my S5 that the stock "internet" app covers the notification bar giving a real "full screen" mode and making more real estate available versus Chrome and other browsers.
Nice feature.
Just wondering if this is a S5 feature or was this on all other prior phones?

Anyway, really liking the stock browser. Think I'll stick with it.

If I remember correctly on the GS3 it did not hide the notification bar.

I like it too!

It does that by default, but you can prevent it from happening in settings.

My s4 was the same way

Sounds like I was just unlucky that my S4 didn't :) Maybe I disabled the setting at some point (which would be odd, because I specifically wanted it to be more aggressive at going fullscreen, exactly as the S5 is..
Oh well - S5 now, so it doesn't matter!

It didn't on the S4 - I was quite surprised (and pleased) that it does on the S5.

It already did on my S4... strange that you didn't have it.. it's a nice feature though :)
I don't remember if it did on my S3 though..
