Why would 4.2.2 ever be preferable?
Phone - LG G2

ROM - OptimusRs Pro 2 Rom For LG G2 V4.3

Tablet - LG G Pad 8.3

ROM - V50018a (leaked KitKat) with improved gamma values

4.4 is lightyears ahead compared to 4.2 (I'm talking about stocks only)
E.g:
More free RAM (200mb at least)
more smoothness
Better performance (10% with benchmark antutu and 3dmark)
Stronger wifi signal
+phone: Google Nexus S (i9023) | CM11 | NÚverca
+tablet: LG G Pad 8.3 (v500) | PA
I would not money, but only space -> http://db.tt/lDLizHK <- Always have your stuff when you need it with Dropbox. Sign up for free and get 500MB more

The tablet I bought it two days ago ... I immediately updated to 4.4.2 without testing the performance of 4.2.2. So I asked for advice.

Battery life is better, and gamma/brightness depend on your previous ROM. Try the one in my sig if you want a definite improvement.

Right now im content with 4.2.2 because i'm rooted, use Nova Launcher and it connects to my dual micro usb/usb flash drive to watch movies. I can also move files around using ES file explorer.

Is there OTG support with the KK update?
Can you write files to SD card with KK?
LG GPad rooted
AT&T LG Optimus G rooted
Sprint Galaxy S3 (work) not allowed to root

When I enable ART runtime, my G Pad runs very slow. For me Dalvik runtime is the best.
