Default Nexus 7 not shutting down when battery runs low.

This is a bit of an annoyance. My Nexus 7 won't shutdown when the battery gets low. If I leave something on like a video stream it will run the battery down to point it won't charge without manually applying this fix.

Is there any way to get it to shutdown to protect the battery like I'm sure its supposed to? Using stock 4.4.2 with the latest francokernel.

Sounds like a kernel issue. Have you tried a factory reset?
