Hope someone can help.

I have an LG Gpad V500 8.3. I rooted the device when it was Jelly Bean ...all good.

I upgraded to Kitkat ...runs great, but now not rooted.

I have uninstalled Superuser and tried to re install ...no go. I have tried to reset the bianry with SuperSU ...it will not finish.

I understand there are three files that need to be removed, but without root I do not have access.

Any ideas how I might access these three files and get rid of all traces of the old root?

I now know I should have un-rooted the device before upgrading. Next time I will know!

The answer is ...of course, to do a factory re-set. It will wipe everything and put it back as it was when bought.

Just did not think of it.

Update for any who is interested.

Reset tablet to stock. Kitkat automatically loaded. Was able to root using 'ioroot25'. Worked like a charm.
