Default Locked browser bookmarks

as usual, Samsung and att saw fit to bloat even the browser bookmarks. I've been able to remove these on my previous phones, s3, note 2, s4, s3 mini (work phone) but with this phone locked up I can't figure it out.

I've got ads blocked with adblock plus, if I could just figure out how to kill of those bookmarks I'd be a happy camper.

My only suggestion would be to not use the stock browser. That thing is disgusting. The first thing I do on any phone is install Chrome. All my bookmarks, autofills, passwords, etc are automatically synced between my laptop and phone. It just makes life easier.

But yeah, it's pretty ridiculous you can't even delete bookmarks without root now. That's a whole new level of being locked down.
