Default Back to Stock with Nandroid back-up

Hi guys,
I'm running a custom ROM on my G2 D802.
I have a Nandroid back-up of my rooted Stock OS.
If I reinstall my back up and then Factory Reset will that then allow me to take OTA updates from LG again?
I know I will lose root but just wanted to suss out my options.
Thanks in advance.

no i didn't try it , but as i understood from what i read in few threads, the phone will still state that its rooted and it will not update (even if you remove root using superSU's remove root feature), so you'll need to got to completely stock firmware (by the way , i doubt factory reset will remove the root since superSU -or any other root management app- should be a system app)
