[Q] Safestrap unable to open zip

Hi-

Trying to follow the guide to update from jb to kk using Safestrap. I wipe data, cache, and davlik and then try to install a stock-based rom to the stock slot but I get the error-

E: unable to open zip file [zip file name]
Error flashing zip
Updating partition details


I've verified the md5 of the zip and it matches... Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Have tried to copy the zip back to the phone a second time and still the same error..

All help would be greatly appreciated!

Make a backup of that rom and try wiping system to flash that kk rom.

Okay - now I can't get into SS anymore... stuck at the boot screen... Did I just brick this?

NVM
Okay - NVM, I'm back to 4.3 after going through the mj5 restore.. And guess what? Back to being unable to open the zip...

I've got it at /external_sd/Rom.zip
I don't see how the location should matter, should it? Just copied it over from my computer to there.
