I've managed to get the unlock_code.bin and flash it at the command prompt but afterwards, nothing happens. I'm supposed to get a prompt on my phone that asks if I want to unlock the bootloader but no such message arises.

I have usb debugging turned on and fastboot devices returns my device number. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Developer edition already comes with an unlocked bootloader. You don't have to unlock it.

If you want to verify then just follow these steps... Confirm that fastboot option under Power settings is disabled. Completely power off the phone. Boot into HBOOT by pressing and holding the volume down and power buttons simultaneously. Once you are in HBOOT you confirm the unlocked status of the boot loader.

I was under the impression this was the case as well but clearly didn't know enough about it. Thanks for your input! It was extremely helpful!
