Hi all,

my G got a pint of water spilt over it, and whilst it was still working fine after it happened, i turned it off and put it in some rice to dry it out for 48 hours. after that i plugged it in to charge and the led comes on, but that's it.

it's been charging for a day so far, but still can't turn it on. is it likely dead or could this be related to the battery issues that i've seen a lot of recently?

thanks in advance.

It's dead, get a new one. Your nerves are not worth it bothering to fix it if that's even possible.

If it doesnt boot it may be too hard for them to bother checking bootloader so you migh get lucky. Try a wall charger sometimes when battery is 0% it wont charge on USB

according to the little booklet that comes with it they don't offer anything with water damage. the phone is sold as it being water resistant, but not waterproof and thus it's not covered.

i've given up and bought a new one.
