I'm tired and don't know how I would effectively search for this.

I am going to sell my current phone and pick this one up again.

With the recent software update I want to know if there is any software version that can't have custom recovery installed.

Theoretically, 24a doesn't support a custom recovery, but there is a method to make it happen. 24a had also been rooted, so you should be good to go.

So with 24a I imagine downgrade install recovery upgrade?
