1. Master Power: ✔

Listening Device: Skullcandy HESH2

3. Spectrum Extension: √ (optional )
Strength: 0.5

4. Headphone Surround +: √( optional )
Effect Level : Level 2

5. Cure Tech+: √
Select Binaural Level : Extreme

The Viper DDC for my headphones are perfectly done so all that was needed is listed above. The bass thumps when playing bass heavy tracks. Rock songs and songs with a booming sound now have a wider soundstage. The highs have little to no change at all which is good since these headphones already have solid highs for clear vocals. Feel free to change the DDC since it is meant for the HESH 2 and will only sound good with similar sounding headphones.

Excellent! though i don't have an expensive headset (Panasonic RP-HJE120). Luckily it's there in the DDC list. With the above profile. I feel the true realistic sound of every track from the headset

DDC is everything. You observation & expertise is very true. Please keep experimenting & share your finding here

thank you :)

You're welcome and I don't have an expensive pair either. Unless you think $60 is expensive which is the retail price of the Hesh 2. The Aviators from the same company cost more ($150) but still cheaper than Beats.

DDC for stock samsung s3 earphones

i just noticed that the DDC for the stock s3 earphones lacks certain power and curve., so i reverted back using zhuang's profile for earphones but modified some settings in dynamic system to slightly enhance further the bass since this particular earphones lacks bass and used SPL_goldmike impulse w/ flair irs, (since it lacks in the vocals) . and voila it matches the sound quality of sound magic e10 (i used to have that earphone b4 i decided to sell it to my friend.)

question though does spectrum extension matters for flac? since i think spectrum extension is for mp3 encoded songs?

which equalizer would u guys prefer, is it in the FX or Xhifi? or i think they're pretty much the same?

1. Spectrum extension doesn't do anything for lossless audio(FLAC and ALAC).
2. Those apps do different things as stated in the apps thread so it is foolish to compare the two. One adds effects while the other is an audio restoration app.

what i mean is the firequalizer settings in those two, so u mean i can use those two equalizers in tandem since they are different in effects?

In a way you can but once you use Viper DDC then there is no need for either eq settings and the XHIFI app.

ah..so once i enable DDC i don't need eq's anymore. :good:

hm.. what about the convolver's i read somewhere here in the past threads that DDC conflicts with some convolvers and some DDC profile wasn't made properly?

i guess time to do some experiments again :D

Sir,Headphone equalizer is more like crystal clear sound quality with clear deep bass effect with Moderate Auditory Protection. Whereas on Speaker you'll notice Clear Sound the way it should be. :)

Thanks.

sorry i was talking about the custom setting for firequalizer. There is only 1 picture of that. so i was wondering if it is for both headphones and the speaker settings.

    Rx Pain Killers

Here I present my new creation, a set of 3 profiles I call "Pain Killers"

There are 3 settings: Morphine, Oxycontin and Percocet. ;)
Remember, "Dont mix your pills or else" :p

To use them, just leave everything default and apply VDC and IRS accordingly.
Tested them myself in 3 different set of earphones: Piston v2, SONY MDR-EX90 LP and Westone 3 and I loved the sound coming from them (specially the second profile).

Thanks for trying them and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them. :good:

The files are attached below, enjoy them and please thank the post if you appreciate my work.
