Default [Q] How many nits does Z2 have?

I'm worried about how well I can see the screen on this phone outside

No problems here in the Australian Sun.

The only problem is that due to the screen's polarization, you can't see anything if you hold the phone in landscape mode with polarized sunnies on :P

I think less than 500 nits.

The screen is bright enough, but I find that auto-brightness is not bright enough. You have to tweak the brightness settings yourself.

400 nits according to LesNumeriques

They tested GS5 at 300nits for comparison

HTC M8 is the brightest at 480 nits

The S5 actually hits an impressive 698cd/m2 in auto mode, but of course the other thing that matters is screen reflectance. I'm very interested in that, hope the Z2 hits DisplayMate soon.

Just 400?

That can't be right. It's too little.

The S5 has 500.
