Lol, the guy is the maintainer of this ROM.
It would only make sense that he's running his own ROM.

I had the same problem, the problem was with my AdAway or any other ad blocker app which you have installed. Just disable adblocking and it would work. After that you can download the ad blocker again. Do let me know if this works.
127.0.0.1 localhost
Do you mean the app or just the hosts file?
If you have the app, you can use the "Disable ad blocking" button.
If you have just the hosts file, save it somewhere (in case you want to revert later), then delete the entire content of the file and enter just this:
Code:127.0.0.1 localhost
Thanks found and edited. Now I can access bitly and others but YouTube still not working. Don't know what else I can do. Even deleted ad service from system/app and rebooted.

What i meant is most of the software contained in the Ubuntop isnt working, like openoffice. I'll play a little more.
I assume you have webtop2sd running, then you used Synaptic to install OO based on grabing the packages in the zip file (in post 270 in this thread), right? Did you get an error during the install in Synaptic? I remember that error being related to a rights issue and I am pretty sure the answer is in Lokifish's threads. I remember solving the error and got the install to work right, but i'd have to dig up the answer as I cant remember the exact solution off the top of my head.

Nope, When i Run webtop2sd with a 4GB partition it cannot finished to install. It gives me the "net.toreishi.webtop2sd" error and when i reboot i cannot open webtop2sd it gaves straight away the same error.
First you need to get webtop2sd running and installed properly in order to get this to work. I am not sure what the 4gb is that your seeing, but only a setup with webtop2sd will allow you to install openoffice. Have you read though Lokifish's thread on Ubuntop?
My guess is that your error is related to busybox. Have you installed another version of busybox? If not, and your still on the busybox that comes in the ROM then you may need to do this:

Well, I could manage to install XFCE4 on the UbuntuopLX. It works pretty good.
When I reach home I'll post some pics.
Best regards to all!
