Wiped and formatted everything then reinstalled nottachtrix without youtube app and still have the same issue. The same error. I don't know what to do

I had the same problem, the problem was with my AdAway or any other ad blocker app which you have installed. Just disable adblocking and it would work. After that you can download the ad blocker again. Do let me know if this works.

Thanks for the info, my ROM has the AdBlocker integrated with the Nottachtrix, how can i disable it? Trough ADB Shell? i don't know if hosts is stored in /etc.

EDIT: Weird thing, i've opened /etc/hosts and there is nothing unsual there, only pointing 127.0.0.1 localhost and 127.0.1.1 to grfs. Where's located the file blocking the ads?

localhost
Do you mean the app or just the hosts file?
If you have the app, you can use the "Disable ad blocking" button.
If you have just the hosts file, save it somewhere (in case you want to revert later), then delete the entire content of the file and enter just this:
Code:
127.0.0.1 localhost

Thanks but i already knew that, the thing is that i'm using the adblocker by default of this ROM integrated in the Aroma Installer that says "Ads block using the hosts file" and is working because i can not open bit.ly t.co. etc, but when i open /etc/hosts is completely empty just localhost pointing to 127.0.0.1 and i don't know where else to look.

Thanks found and edited. Now I can access bitly and others but YouTube still not working. Don't know what else I can do. Even deleted ad service from system/app and rebooted.

First, thank you for this ROM and your time to keep it updated and to answer the questions. My best regards.

I read the whole 58 pages, and my only doubt is: ¿Why I dont have apps like openoffice in the lapdock if i install UbunTopLX? It seems it doesnt install them, btw the Webtop partition has 2.7 gb free, so that's not the problem.

¿Why just dont resize the Webtop partition if anyone wants more space for the ubuntu system?, ex: 8 GB.

In the first install the aroma installer let me choose partition arrangment for the webtop but when i re-install it doesnt ask me anymore.

I'm only guessing here, but maybe oo doesn't have an arm build, remember that this ubuntu is 11.x so is 3 years old

Wow, didn't know oo was alzready there! My bad :)

Now, can you run openoffice from a terminal and paste the output here? That should give us an idea of why it wont load

What i meant is most of the software contained in the Ubuntop isnt working, like openoffice. I'll play a little more.

I assume you have webtop2sd running, then you used Synaptic to install OO based on grabing the packages in the zip file (in post 270 in this thread), right? Did you get an error during the install in Synaptic? I remember that error being related to a rights issue and I am pretty sure the answer is in Lokifish's threads. I remember solving the error and got the install to work right, but i'd have to dig up the answer as I cant remember the exact solution off the top of my head.

Nope, When i Run webtop2sd with a 4GB partition it cannot finished to install. It gives me the "net.toreishi.webtop2sd" error and when i reboot i cannot open webtop2sd it gaves straight away the same error.

I'm with a fresh installed and only config wifi and install Busybox (as supposed to be a requirement for webtop2sd to work).

That's why I'm curious why the fresh Nottachtrix install with webtop gives you a 4 GB partition un the webtop partition (at least that's what is says when you enter to Disk manager in thw webtop) with 1.3 gb used.

My goal is to achieve the full XFCE4 desktop, the ROM itselfs is really good and fast, so I'm focusing in a full functioning webtop.

Best regards and thanks, i'm still playing with this!

- EXT3
- Default Motorola Blur Apps
- Default Google Apps
- Add Titanium backp, Es File Explorer, Webtop2sd
- Droid 3 Quickpick
- No ROM mod&tweaks
- Motoblur theme (i gives me phone signal properly)
- Red boot logo and red moto animation (does it matter, dont know anyway)
- Webtop+
- Kernel Faux 1.0, (Tried Faux 1.0, International, MROM loops on reboot )

First reboot config Wifi, moto account, install busybox then run Webtop2sd, aaaand stil net.toreishi.webtop2sd error

First you need to get webtop2sd running and installed properly in order to get this to work. I am not sure what the 4gb is that your seeing, but only a setup with webtop2sd will allow you to install openoffice. Have you read though Lokifish's thread on Ubuntop?

My guess is that your error is related to busybox. Have you installed another version of busybox? If not, and your still on the busybox that comes in the ROM then you may need to do this:

I could manage to install Webtop2sd partition (I think the problem was re-mounting the SD card after partitioning, I didnt mount the sdcard until webtop2sd finish.

Now i'm trying to install XCFE4 with the guide of this tutorial: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1192488 , but I just realized that this works with a pure Webtop software. Well lets see what happens, I'll post again with results, I really want a full working desktop enviroment to use the webtop as a netbook.

Let's see what happens in the end!, thanks Greymouser.

When I reach home I'll post some pics.
Best regards to all!

NottachTrix is a Atrix 4G ROM built from the AT&T 4.5.141, GingerBread (2.3.6), release. See the original thread HERE. Since its introduction in early 2012, the Nottachtrix ROM has been recognized as an extremely reliable, fully MOD'ed, and fully functional Atrix 4G Gingerbread Blur ROM. As a long time user of this ROM, I felt the need to keep it alive. My intent is to update and add to the ROM in order to keep it current, and not remove anything created by Nottach. Nottach has approved my taking over development of this ROM permanently.

Changes I am considering to invest time in:
    - Add MOTO X stuff (boot animation, sounds, wallpapers)
    - Fix ICS Theme issue with buttons in Music Player
    - Update Talk apk to work with Google+ Hangouts
    - Update BusyBox

Changes that I WILL NOT perform:
    - Upgrading the framework to 4.5.145, the latest OTA update (this is like replacing the foundation of an existing house)
    - Incorporate uriel_zo’s themes (uriel_zo has responded to the request to add it, and will not allow it for now)
    - Call Recording (not feasible to port from NowBlast - see Post#249)
    - Music track change with volume rocker (no working example of this MOD for 2.3.6 framework - see Post#250)

NottachTrix 4G v2.3.0 ROM - WITH Webtop Options (NOTE: This version of the ROM has Lokifish's Webtop+ and Ubuntop incorporated in it as Webtop choices, for more information on Ubuntop go HERE, for adding software to Ubuntop see Post#270)
