Default [Q] AdAway on M8 not working

Has anybody been able to install AdAway on the M8? I currently am running the Sinless GPe ROM with S-On and an unlocked bootloader. When I tell AdAway to disable ads, it fails while applying the hosts file and says "unable to copy hosts file."

Has anybody else run into this issue?

Nevermind, I am dumb and just read that it's because AdAway requires S-Off. God I hope somebody figures out how to get S-Off working for us unlucky ones that firewater does not work for.

flar2 created a kernel module, I'm suprised it's not in your ROMs kernel already.

Also, not sure if it made the difference or not but I turn selinux to permissive via an app from the play store.

Thanks for that. It seems to work for me without setting to permissive mode, but I downloaded SELinux Mode Changer off of the Play Store and set it to permissive to be on the safe side, anyways.
